Welcome to the Samson Samuel Scholarship for Photography and Video Arts
It has been almost two years since our beloved friend Samson Samuel has passed away at a young age. Samson gave so much to family, friends and to his community in his life time. In his memory, his wife, family and his friends in North America recently established a scholarship fund in his honor. This is a competitive scholarship designed to invite needy and talented students from Ethiopia who are studying video and photography, Samson's passion, to apply.
The fund also will be used to provide for sports equipment such as balls, goals and nets for needy children in Ethiopia, another example of Samson’s generous heart giving which he loved in the past.
Tenage G/Sellasie, Samson’s wife chairs the scholarship committee with other three (3) SEED Board Members. An outreach committee to oversee the application process in Ethiopia is currently being established. The winner of the scholarship will be announced end of May every year at SEED’s Award Dinner and Dance events in Washington, D.C. Your donation is tax deductible contribution through SEED. You are invited to go to SEED’s secured website (WWW.Ethioseed.org) for donations. In order to make this an ongoing event, your early uninterrupted contribution is dearly appreciated. You are encouraged to make recurring contribution on an annual basis. Please help us remember our selfless, generous, and beloved friend, Samson Samuel.
