Ambedkar University Delhi releases film on Kuno displacement
Ambedkar University Delhi, as a part of its ongoing E-QUAL project, released a film titled "Make Way: The Kuno Story" about the community that Samrakshan works with. The film is being shown at the 76th Annual Meeting of the Society for Applied Anthropology in Vancouver in April 2016. Interns from AUD
Three summer interns from the School of Human Ecology at Ambedkar University Delhi (www.aud.ac.in) successfully completed their 4 week stint at Samrakshan in June 2015. They worked on projects relating to management of commons and the role of diversification in rural livelihoods. Another student from the School of Education Studies, Ambedkar University Delhi completed fieldwork in January 2016 on community attitudes towards girls' education in the context of Adivasi communities.

Restoration project starts to yield results

The pasture restoration projects at villages Paira and Ladar have begun yielding results. Planting of species took place in 2012 and 2013, and during the monsoons of the same years, the first signs of restoration began to be visible. The pictures of the restoration site before and after treatment speak for themselves.
