I am an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Rutgers University.

Recent work: 


I received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) in 2019.

I received NSF CAREER Award in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Project started in 2015.



I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science at UIUC in 2011, and B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2006. 



My research interests are in cyber-physical systems security (currently funded by active projects from NSF, DOEnergy, DOEducation, ONR, DHS, ARPA-E, AFOSR, Siemens Research, GrammaTech, Fortinet, Google, ETAP and WindRiver). My group is looking at:

  • Embedded Systems Security
  • Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering
  • Cyber-Physical Systems Resilience
  • Systems Security and Privacy
  • Intrusion Detection and Response Capabilities

Non-professional activities: I train for triathlons; have completed Escape-to-Miami 2013, ITU San Diego 2014, and Palm Spring HITS Triathlon 2015Currently, I train for and compete in USTA Tennis League (Singles) - qualified for Nationals Competition in Las Vegas
