Why Reuse?
Did you know that over 16,500 tons of  material are thrown out every day in New York City? These goods are clogging our landfills, releasing carbon into the atmosphere, and creating a need for more goods to be manufactured. Reuse is a logical and environmentally friendly alternative to discarding durable materials. Reuse just makes sense, economically and environmentally.

Where do the materials come from?
Salvaged goods have been taken from a variety sources in New York City. Surplus goods have been donated by member organizations interested in protecting the environment and reducing their waste as well as fundraising. And many goods have been donated by someone just like you! Thinking of replacing things around your house? Consider their usefulness to someone else and bring them down any time we're open!

Green Products:
Salvage for Good might be expanding its stock items to include environmentally friendly and non-toxic materials based on customer interest. If you have a green product you'd like to see us carry, make a suggestion!
