Sally Beattie is a Portsmouth based freelance Creative Project Manager and Dance Artist.
She delivers Contemporary and Creative Dance Workshops in both primary and secondary schools across Portsmouth, Southampton, Isle of Wight and Hampshire. Whilst this is the main area that she covers, she is prepared to travel beyond the region for exciting projects!
Sally currently manages a number of creative projects on behalf of Creative Partnerships in both Portsmouth and Hampshire. This entails acting as a broker between schools and creative practitioners and has a keen eye for making cross curricular connections and coming up with innovative and exciting projects.
Sally has created a number of educational resources and packages using dance to explore various elements of the curriculum (see Teaching Resources for further details). Her latest venture as Dance Educator for Woking Dance Festival's "In The Thick Of It" project involved collaborating with choreographer Saju Hari and dancers Paula Conduit and James Mweu to create dance workshops linked to the PSHE curriculum to accompany the performance aimed at 5 - 7 year olds.
Sally has recently joined up with Janet Aughey to set up a Creativity Consultancy Partnership 'Magic Parsnips'. For more details visit www.magicparsnips.co.uk
