S. Ali Hassani Gangaraj, Ph.D.
I am a Staff Scientist in the Optical Physics Division at Corning Research and Development. My background spans theoretical electromagnetics, quantum optics and photonics.
Before joining Corning, I was a Research Scientist working with Prof. Zongfu Yu at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to that, I completed my postdoctoral training under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Monticone at Cornell University. I earned my PhD in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Physics under the supervision of Prof. George Hanson at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, specializing in nonreciprocal quantum optics, topological photonics and plasmonics.
Research Interests:
Theoretical electromagnetics
Quantum photonics
Mathematical methods in electromagnetics
Topological photonics, symmetry and duality
Plasmonics
