Kroger Fundraising Account

The Kroger fundraising account is currently being used by most of the 2012-2013 teams within the Salem Sabres organization as their primary way to raise money.  Each player’s parents have the option as to whether they choose to participate in this fundraising program.  If the player does participate in this fundraising program, the following rules apply:

  1. Each player’s parents can have access to as many Kroger cards as they wish.  Each card purchased (for $5) will be attached to that player’s account and money will accumulate from all of the purchases made by each card each month.
  2. The money that is accumulated in the player’s Kroger account can be used for the following things:
    1. Salem Sabres annual fundraiser - $100 for single season players and $125 for full year players
    2. Tournament fees - Salem Sabres provides each team with $1000 that can be used for tournaments during the 2012-2013 year.  Once those funds have been used, the players are responsible to covering any additional tournament fees.  The team’s coach decides how many tournaments are played and where the team travel to play in those tournaments.
    3. Salem Sabres registration fees - In June of 2013 we will once again get together and form teams for the 2013-2014 season.  If there is money in the player’s Kroger account they may use this money to cover the yearly registration fees.
    4. Salem Sabres apparel - this includes all clothing items including uniforms that may be purchased throughout the year.  If you would like to purchase apparel using your Kroger fundraising money, please talk to your team manager.

If the player’s parents choose not to participate in the Kroger fundraising effort, then they will be responsible for paying for the following items out of pocket:

  1. Salem Sabres annual fundraiser - $100 for single season players and $125 for full year players
  2. Tournament fees - Salem Sabres provides each team with $1000 that can be used for tournaments during the 2012-2013 year.  Once those funds have been used, the players are responsible to covering any additional fees.  The team’s coach decides how many tournaments are played and where the team travel t play in those tournaments.
  5. Any other team expenses that the coach and manager communicate to the team.

The Kroger fundraising account is for your player’s team expenses only.  At no time will money be given from that account to a player or parent of a player.  If for any reason the player chooses to leave the club, all money in their Kroger account will be given back to the club to use as the Board deems necessary.
