Grind gears with gusto
on the worst day of the year. Come out and ride some of the best of Salem's gravel roads through rustic farmlands.
By participating in this ride you are assuming responsibility for your own safety and well being. This is an unsupported event. The route is NOT marked. Bring your own food, water, flat tire repair and printed copy of the route cue sheet & map. Wear a helmet. Obey traffic laws. Be courteous to the locals. If anyone asks, you are “Just out for a Ride”.
Winter tires are strongly recommended for gravel riding!
The ride starts from the Oak Knoll Public Golf Course at 10 am sharp. Parking is available toward the back west side of their lot. Restrooms available inside the Golf Course (no public urination please!). Golf Course restaurant opens at 9 am for breakfast for those interested.
After The Ride:
Join us for some beers and food after the ride. The Oaktree Pub will offer discounted prices to riders on food if we get enough people to spend some dough.
The route is approx. 50 miles with 2500' elevation gain featuring some of the best gravel roads just west of Salem, Or.
