About Me

I am Sairam Kaliraj. I was born and brought up in Sivakasi, a small town in the southern part of Tamil Nadu, which is popular for fireworks, match industries and printing presses. I completed my Bachelor and Master Degree in Mathematics from A.N.J.A College, Sivakasi. In 2009, I joined as a research scholar in the Department of Mathematics, IIT Madras, under the supervision of Prof. S. Ponnusamy and earned my Ph.D Degree from there in 2014. My Ph.D thesis entitled "Geometric properties and characterizations of univalent harmonic mappings" primarily aimed at understanding the fundamental analytic and geometric properties of univalent harmonic mappings. I did my Postdoctoral research work at the Indian Statistical Institute Chennai Centre. During my Postdoctoral period, I worked on Sections of Univalent Harmonic Mappings, which can be thought of as "Approximation of Univalent Harmonic Mappings by Univalent Harmonic Polynomials". Currently, I am focusing my research work on Harmonic Hardy spaces. I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, IIT Ropar.
