Welcome to St Mary's

Welcome to the online home of St Mary’s Southgate, Crawley!

St Mary's Tweets

St Mary’s is a welcoming, lively, Bible-based and friendly Church of England Church. We want to grow in our knowledge of Jesus Christ as Saviour and friend, and also to encourage on their journey those who aren’t yet sure what they believe. We actively encourage the participation of all ages in church life, and have a good number of children and young people connected to the church.
As well as Sunday services,  many other things happen during the week at St Mary's including our Toddler Group (Waddlers), our Coffee Shop (The Gate), Messy Church, House Groups, groups for older people, and our Children's Work on a Friday evening as well as one off events. For any information about these groups or what is happening at St Mary's, please check out the menu above, or visit us in person - we'd love to see you!

Our Building

We are pleased to announce that after six months of work, Phase 1 of our Building Project is now complete. We have installed new roofs, new windows and a new entrance featuring a large cross in the window. We now have a building that is warm, free from leaks and draughts and also, because of the cross, looks just a little bit more like a church than it did before!
We are very grateful to everyone in our community who has contributed to the considerable cost of the work. We praise God that the work is complete and paid for!

Not that we have finished yet. Now we start to think about Phase 2, which will bring much-needed improvements to the inside of the building.
