I've been watching a lot of shows.
You've got to love Don Draper, but I often find myself forgetting some key points while I'm watching. Mad Men is a fantastic show because it's perfectly situated to comment on a defining time in American and world history, and makes the most of it. I just get a little worried when people try to apply the characters' world views today.
Liz Lemon once told me that we're in a golden age of scripted television and even though Jack laughed at her, I think she may have been right. With the amount of big names moving into television and the budgets going sky high, we're likely to see at least a decade of proper TV before people stop using Twitter in movie theaters and we can all go back there.
