Unfortunately my fictitious characters will be watching Pacific Rim before me because I live in South Africa. So if it's on at a theater near you, give it a watch for me. If you could give it several watches that wouldn't hurt either because, to be frank, if this one John Carters humanity is dead to me.
A wild comic appears.
I've been watching through Space: Above and Beyond and it's a little depressing to think it didn't get more traction. It's dated (the worst kind, 90s dated) and yet still solid. I always appreciate war shows that take their military setting seriously.
An on time update!? What has this world come to...
I'm still divided on Man of Steel. On the one hand I got exactly what I've been wanting; a Superman film where he is simply unleashed. (Not to be confused with one where he is unbound because that was just so so) Unfortunately the very action I had craved came at the cost of character development. Now many may argue that there was quite a bit of character exploration, but if you really think about it once the awesomeness of Krypton was over we basically got told the same thing 49 times. I think he may have been worried that the world would reject him. It's just a hunch.
So regardless of what anyone else thinks Superman Returns, a tempered delve into the humanity of a god, remains my favorite Superman film. As for Man of Steel - I thoroughly enjoyed it and I remain a massive Zack Snyder fan. With Watchmen, Man of Steel, and 300 (Graphic novel blah blah) I believe he's responsible for some of the greatest comic book adaptions ever made.

Aaaaannnnnddddd the art style changes back. It's a roller coaster of emotions over here.
Speaking of emotions and the rolling there of; The Last of Us was a hell of a way to send off the PS3. I wonder if developers around the world gave out a cry as Naughty Dog raised the bar yet again. The next time someone tries to debate games as a medium for storytelling I'll barely have to break a sweat.
Since I'm now a gainfully employed entity this will be the last comic in this art style. I need to move over to something that's faster to produce. Ideally I'd still like to put out two comics a week (Flying pigs everywhere) so I may be moving to a sketchy aesthetic. Expect it to go through a few iterations before I settle on something that's quick and okay looking.
Just in case you missed the reveal of Microsoft TV (Affectionately known ans the XBone in some circles) with a Ghost trailer.
While we wait for the Last Guardian to finally come out and break our hearts, we'll get to play another game where a beloved companion undoubtedly dies.
I enjoyed drawing this one quite a bit, here's a blank higher-res version.
