The St.Ansgar Police Department currently has one sworn full time Chief, and two State Certified Reserve Officers. Chief Lance Schutjer, has been with the Police Department since 2000, and has been in law enforcement since 1989. Reserve Officer Brodie Mitchell has been with the Police Department since 2008. Reserve John Beyer has been with the Police Department since 2012. According to records dating back to 1853, several officers and Chiefs have served St. Ansgar.
