Postdoctoral ResearcherDepartment of Bioresources (Environmental) Engineering, Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, McGill University, Montreal, Canada - July 2020-Till date, MITACS postdoctoral position in Agricultural Engineering. Major responsibilities: Multi-temporal remote sensing data (Sentinel-1/2, airborne hyperspectral sensor, Radarsat-2 and RCM) for agricultural anomaly detection in several agricultural fields in Quebec, Canada. New project involvement: Detection of crop anomalies at various agricultural fields in Quebec, collection and processing of geospatial crop production data with the emphasis on the cultivation of alfalfa across Eastern Canada.

Senior Remote Sensing Expert

Horoma Artificial Intelligence (AI), Montreal, Canada - April-June 2020, an industrial research position funded by NorthStar: Earth & Space. Major responsibilities: Handled with passive sensor data (Orthophoto processing, Sentinel-1/2, and airborne hyperspectral sensor) and SAR (Radarsat-2 and RCM) data models for corn and soybean biophysical parameters, land use mapping, forestry maps, and precision agricultural farming. Senior Remote Sensing & GIS Specialist

Centre for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) - January 2007- September 2009, A RS & GIS Institute under the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of Bangladesh. Major responsibilities: Handled with passive sensor data (Landsat 1-7, IRS LISS3, ASTER, SPOT, IKONOS, WorldView-2) and involved various funded national and international projects, design and supervision. Junior Remote Sensing & GIS Specialist

Centre for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) - March 2002- December 2006), A RS & GIS Institute under the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of Bangladesh. Major responsibilities: Involved in various funded projects and wide range of digital image processing of passive sensor data (Landsat 1-8, IRS Pan & LISS3, ASTER, and SPOT) and microwave datasets for flood, crop, and erosion monitoring. The collaboration with Government of Bangladesh and Radarsat International (RSI), Canada. Radarsat-1 (ScanSAR wide and narrow) data classified for every 24 days revisit period Jun.-Oct. 2002 to 2005 and validated with local and national level flood, crop, and erosion sites in Bangladesh.
