Saganfest 2014

Bijective and Algebraic Combinatorics:

In honor of Bruce Sagan's 60th birthday

Program:

With the exception of the conference banquet, all events will take place in the Mathematics Department Atrium, Little Hall room 339.

The conference will begin with registration at 8:30am on Monday, March 24, and run until 5:30pm. The banquet will follow at 7:00pm at Leonardo's 706. On Tuesday, March 25, the talks are from 9:00am until 4:30pm.

Speakers may retrieve their talks from the internet, or bring a memory stick. Speakers may also connect their own laptops if they have a Mac or VGA port.

Local Information:

The local airport is Gainesville Regional Airport. You can also fly into a nearby airport, rent a car, and drive to Gainesville. Jacksonville is a 2 hour drive, while Orlando and Tampa are each a 2 - 2.5 hour drive.

Deadlines:

February 3 - Contributed talk submission deadline.

February 3 - Financial support deadline.

February 10 - Contributed talk and financial support decision notification.

February 14 - Registration and accommodation deadline.

Contributed Talks:

To apply to give a 25 minute contributed talk, please send a brief (1-2 paragraphs) abstract to saganfest@gmail.com. The committee plans to accept 8 - 12 contributed talks.

Registration:

The registration fee is $60 and includes the Monday night banquet at Leonardo's 706. Registration is payable by check upon arrival. To register, please fill out the registration form prior to February 14.

Financial Support:

A limited amount of financial support is available. Priority will be given to undergraduates, graduate students, and early career faculty. Applications for support are received through the registration form in the previous section.

Conference rates are available at the following two hotels:

The conference rates are available for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights. To receive the conference rates, you must state on the registration form which hotel you are staying at.

Both hotels have shuttles to and from Gainesville Regional Airport. The Holiday Inn is a short 5 minute walk from the Mathematics Department, while the Paramount will run a shuttle between the hotel and the Mathematics Department.
