Great weather! We got a nice, cooler day after having a week-plus of unseasonably hot weather. It was just a very comfortable day that topped out at about 80°.
Our morning started for some of us at 7:00 AM at around 50°. Getting an early start meant we weren't really in any sort of time crunch, and it took us a tad over an hour to get today's 60-shot, 15-lane course established.
By around 8:30 AM, the troops started rolling in for our Memorial Day Weekend Field Target shoot. Once everyone was set up, liability waivers were signed, scorecards were filled out, and match fees were taken care of, the range went hot. This allowed practice to commence for a tad less than an hour while waiting for some latecomers to arrive on-site.
By 9:15 AM, we had 17 shooters present. We stopped practice, had the crew pick up all the practice targets and quads, held the shooters' meeting, and handed out squad assignments. Then, we were off and shooting!

Everyone finished up their 60 shots in a timely manner, with lunch served promptly afterward. We enjoyed ham & cheese sandwiches, chips, drinks, and cookies too!!
The course was then cleaned up and loaded into containers with bricks on the trailer by those willing and able... thank you, crew!!
Then, those who stayed around post-match got to play with whatever airguns they wished, having the quads back out spaced from around 35 to 100 yards. This lazy afternoon went on until about 3:00 PM, with more conversation among friends than shooting as the hours passed. Good times with like-minded buddies is how we roll...
Thank you to all who made today's match. God bless our departed service members on this Memorial Day weekend.
