The Plagiarist: Page 1

I've been researching this material for a long time.  Let's just say I've got kind of a personal reason to.

My name's Sarah Griffith; I have a Ph.D. in Renaissance Literature, majoring in Shakespeare.  I know; studying Shakespeare has been the trendy thing to do since the seventeen hundreds.  But let's just say I have access to documents that other people haven't seen, and aren't going to see.  At least, not until I decide they will.  People would just say it was a hoax anyways, so I don't think it's a great loss.

So let's just say it's a story instead.  Or maybe a play.  A play seems thematically appropriate, right?  I'll be your narrator, if you can forgive a few authorial asides - I mean, this story is pretty much all about authorial asides anyways.

We'll call this Act One.
