Crookstown is just south of the Cork to Macroom road.

This is the turn off left as you approach from Cork City. Look for the signposts for Bantry.

This is the junction as you approach from Macroom.

As you approach Crookstown from the Cork City side, look for this junction. The Crookstown Utd FC pitch is just up this road.

About 150m from the junction, you'll see the entrance to the Crookstown Utd FC grounds on the right.

Course...The race starts just off the approach road to Crookstown and takes in Cloughduv to the east before returning to Crookstown.

The route is mostly flat for the first half while there is a climb on the road between Crookstown and Cloughduv.

This is a view of the start. This is a quiet road that goes through past a quarry and is pretty flat.

At about 1.2kms, you come out at a T-junction and turn right for Cloughduv.
Just after the junction, there is a small bump as you run up and over an old railway bridge.
This was part of the old Cork to Macroom railway line.

At about 2kms, you reach the outskirts of Cloughduv.

Right in the village at 2.1kms and then head back towards Crookstown.

The only real hill on the course is along this section of road. you reach the top of the hill around the 3.7km mark.

At 4.5kms, you reach a T-junction and the approach road to Crookstown.

Left at the junction at 4.6kms...

...and then back into the grounds of Crookstown Utd FC to do a partial loop of the pitch to make up the full 5km distance.
