Review of the course.
There are changes to both courses this year with the community park section removed as it was felt this slowed down the race slightly. By removing it, it will make both courses much faster and in particular on the 5k an extremely fast course with the majority of the course either downhill or flat and certainly a course where a PB can be got.

Both the 5k and 10k start approximately 500mtrs from the race headquarters at Bweeng Community Centre on the Gloundine road. From this point the runners will enjoy a downhill start for approximately 1k passing the community centre grounds and heading straight to the Bweeng
Cross roads where they will take a left in the direction of Lombardstown. The road levels off with a very slight pull before the 5k runners get to the turning point. From here they will head back in the same direction towards the finish line which this year will be located in the centre of Bweeng village near the Village Church.

Back to the 10k and while the 5k runners turn the 10k runners head straight on and enjoy a 2.5k downhill section before turning onto the toughest part of the course. Up until now this has been a relatively flat and downhill course. The participants now turn left and begin the swing back towards Bweeng, there are some slight pulls along the next 2km but nothing too testing and the previous 2.5k will have helped you. There will be a water station just after the 6k mark. The participants will then rejoin the road where they originally split from the 5k group and enjoy a flat to downhill 2k finish again in the centre of the village near the church.

You can find details and Maps on the course below. A great day is guaranteed with great facilities at race HQ such as a Playground for kids and plenty of refreshments after the race. Changing facilities also available at HQ.
