Fellow Runners,

On Saturday at the Peacock Gap trail half down in San Rafael, Ben Sacks led team GVH. Bud Haas, Mike Johnson, and Heather Jones each placed in their respective age groups.

The California International Marathon took place on Sunday. Thirty eight club members participated, with seven achieving personal record marathon times and sixteen Boston Qualifiers. Galen Farris and Steve Andrews led the club with 2:37, a personal best for Galen. Mark Murray maintained his sub-3-hour streak with 2:58. Madison Connelly led the women with a PR of 3:18. Angela Borchers represented the masters women with a sub-4-hour finish.

In the relay division, Jenn Schmidt and Chris Tyson finished in 2:45, taking first for co-ed relays. Natasha Bacarro ran the first leg for the Genentech relay team. Without a partner at the halfway point, she decided to run the second half as well, finishing with a marathon PR of 3:34.
