The General Henry "Hap" Arnold Squadron is a local Arnold Air Society squadron, which is composed of Air Force ROTC cadets of Detachment 665 at the University of Cincinnati.
The Arnold Air Society (AAS) is a professional, honorary service organization advocating the support of aerospace power. The “service”aspect is perhaps the foremost in the mind of many members, because of the society’s continuing contributions to our campuses, our communities, and our corps–but it should always be remembered that our primary mission is to improve ourselves as future Air Force officers.
The Arnold Air Society was actually founded at the University of Cincinnati. In the summer of 1947, UC ROTC cadets proposed the idea of an extracurricular, service organization. After a constitution was written, the USAF officially recognized the society in 1948. Arnold Air Society quickly reached the national level, with the first National Conclave taking place at the University of Cincinnati in 1950. Our local squadron is extremely proud of our historical significance, and we are dedicated to fulfilling the mission of AAS.
Run For the Fallen is an annual event hosted by the General Henry "Hap" Arnold Squadron. The goal of this event is to raise POW/MIA awareness in accordance with the National League of POW/MIA families. We greatly appreciate your support of the men and women who have fought and continue to fight in the defense of our freedom.
