Option 1 -- Individual Only - Human Body/Organ System T-Shirt -- Select one of the organ systems we studied this year, create an eye catching t-shirt that shows all of the organs associated with the system that are clearly labeled and presented in a original design that shows the function of the organs of that body system. (See Rubric for Details)
Option 2 -- Individual Only -- Organ System Working Model -- Create a working model of one of the body systems we studied this year. It must show both the structure and function of all of the organs associated with the body system. It can be either a literal interpretation of the system or an analogy similar to the Cell as a City analogy project done earlier in the school year. (See Rubric for Details)
Option 3 -- Individual or Group -- Organ System Commercial/Infomercial -- Create a commercial/infomercial that “sells” the importance of that body system to the class. You should describe the overall structure and function of the overall system as well as the individual organs of the system. Completed commercial/infomercial should be 3 – 6 minutes long. Group members must appear on camera for full credit. (See Rubric for Details)
Option 4 -- Group Only -- Live Advertising Presentation of Importance of Organ System -- Your group has been hired by an advertising agency to create an informational presentation (like a skit) about one of the body systems we have studied this year. Your informational presentation should explain the structure and function of the organs of the system, possible medical issues associated with your systems, and its relationship with other systems of the body. It must include visual aids, models, and at least one of the group members in a costume related to the body system itself. (See Rubric for Details)
