Overview

The meeting will be held in Santo Stefano di Sessanio, Italy, from June 4th to June 8th 2018 and is focused on the all-electron electronic structure code RSPt. RSPt (Relativistic Spin Polarized toolkit) is a powerful computational suite based on the full-potential linear muffin-tin orbital (FP-LMTO) method. RSPt includes several post-DFT methods, as e.g. the self-interaction correction (SIC) and dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT), as well as tools to calculate inter-atomic exchange parameters or various types of spectroscopies, as e.g. photoemission spectroscopy (PES) and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). The scope of this meeting is twofold. First, we intend to gather in the same place all RSPt developers and users, in order to increase the accessibility of more advanced tools, which are often of not immediate use. This exchange will be facilitated by hands-on tutorial sessions that will guide a beginner user from the most basic tasks to more advanced problems involving magnetism, heavy elements and strong-correlation physics. Second, this workshop is also an opportunity for planning next RSPt developments, with a special focus on spectroscopy and non-local correlations. The presence of selected guests outside the RSPt circle will favor a more dynamic exchange of ideas.
