Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr.

Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr, aka Ken Wiwa, is a writer and journalist. Currently serving as a Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria, he was previously a weekly columnist for the Toronto Globe and Mail. His journalism has appeared in newspapers, magazines and websites around the world and he has written and presented documentaries for BBC Radio and TV, Channel 4 and for NPR. His first book, In the Shadow of a Saint, was published worldwide and won the 2002 Hurston/Wright Foundation's Legacy Award for non-fiction. He is currently working on his second, The Fast Train to Azania to be published by Penguin and Gotham books. A Fellow of the University of Toronto, he was selected in 2005 as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
