Manufacturing
Matters at Rensselaer
As part of its ongoing mission to educate and inspire the next generation of technology leaders, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will host local teachers for a two day curriculum development program on August 4 & 5, 2014. Advanced manufacturing is essential for reinvigorating American innovation and for creating high-paying jobs across all technology sectors—around the country and right here at home in the Capital Region. We are inviting teachers to campus to witness the latest developments in manufacturing-related education with the hope that they may translate this information for their student in the K-12 world. We are hopeful this will help to excite young people about manufacturing, to challenge them to think critically about it, and to inspire them to study and pursue a career in science, technology, engineering, or math. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has a strong commitment to the preparing students for manufacturing the state of the art laboratory facilities (MILL: Manufacturing Innovation Learning Laboratory, etc.) and education technical engineering curriculum focused on educating the next generation of manufacturing leaders and pioneers.
