RPG Free List is all about face to face, pencil and
paper gaming with real people... but with one caveat, we want our role-playing game rules
to be free.

Kevin SmootObviously I encourage everyone to drop by and check out their wares! And, if it could not be cooler, these guys write Apps for Beer Brewing, Streaming Video assistance, and more through the related site AppBrewersThe Best Part... all FREE, the way we like it!is all about gaming stuff for use on your tablet devices. You can find dice rollers, monster and spell databases, name generators and a whole lot more for a variety of games.RPGs and FREE ought to go hand in hand, especially in this day of computer gear and communication tech inserting into all facets of life. The whole world of like-minded individuals can get together to share and play their favorite games!Well, recently a tangentially related site came to my attention. RPGTabOver time, we may need to add a new section to our offerings to showcase those who share freely... hmmm frrreeee -
& Magazine
Posted Apr 9, 2014, 12:01 PM by R. Kevin SmootCheck them out. The pdf issues are great, and did we mention FREE!We are all about free gaming around here. We should take the time to occasionally mention some of the other sorts of free stuff associated with role-playing games. To start off, I would like to point everyone to the very nice "&" magazine. In their introductory issue they speak about how both "dungeons" and "dragons" are used already in a variety of ways... leaving them little to work with. "&" being leftover becomes both a symbol and name that still stirs the old school original games genre. -

Another One Lost
Posted May 20, 2013, 1:15 PM by R. Kevin SmootHappens time to time. A game is no longer freely shared. We wish them the best with their game offerings, but OpenQuest seems to be gone in free format for now. Perhaps the base-rules will become available again some time in the future. This post will remain so that they have some mention here, but the listing is being removed for now. -
More More More...
Posted May 17, 2013, 8:40 AM by R. Kevin SmootAfter some sharing on the social networks, we have received several new suggestions for games. We have been working diligently to get these added to the listings. Among more recent additions are:Of course, we can always use more options. I would also like to add that while we cannot copy such from other sites, we can post up new original reviews of Free Games. Feel free to use the Contact page to get with us about reviews. -
Beyond Belief (how good this stuff is)
Posted May 15, 2013, 6:36 AM by R. Kevin SmootOnly recently got to explore some of the stuff offered by BBG. Take a look!Beyond Belief Games (link) - special mention for BBG, the makers of "Barbarians of Lemuria". Technically BBG produced a few Mods of the Swords & Wizardry game to allow for other Genres. There is a Mod for Westerns (Blood & Bullets), 18th Century (Sabers & Witchery), Modern Treasure Hunters (Ancient Mysteries & Lost Treasures). These "Mod-Games" are well done and complete in themselves. Other interesting offerings can be found on their site as well.Note: Barbarians of Lemuria is not a Free offering, but the S&W Mods are Free on their site.
