About Currently, I am a staff scientist in the Data Science at Scale Team at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
I graduated in mathematics and computer science and received my PhD in the Image and Signal Processing Group at Leipzig University.

Then, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at IDAV at the University of California, Davis and
at the Computer Graphics and HCI Group at the Technical University Kaiserslautern.
My research interests include visualization, flow fields, data science, sustainability, feature detection, pattern recognition, moment invariants, HPC, massive data analysis, color theory, visualization in the environmental sciences
