Scull: an oar, a racing shell,
or [verb] to propel using sculls

Rowers at Monmouth Boat Club proposed forming a fleet in 2000,
established a charter in 2001, and joined the national organization, US Rowing, in 2002. In 2008, the Rowing Fleet expanded to include kayakers.

The Navesink River is wonderful for rowing. We row most often in good weather when winds are low – typically early mornings and sometimes early evenings. Recreational rowing is fun and great exercise.  Also we have races about every other week as shown on the MBC Calendar for June through September. (Our races are the ones with AM start times; weather conditions can cause dates to change.) aerial photo
MBC's low dock makes launching easy for rowers;  kayakers launch from any dock
