Blueberry & Blackberry U-Pick
Letter to our Customers
March 24, 2015
To our Valued Customers,
We are officially retired from the fruit business. All but a few of the apple trees have been removed as well as the blueberry plants. We will no longer be open for u-pick blueberries, our plants are gone.
Our intention for about 100 acres of our farm is to plant native grasses, wildflowers, shrubs & trees as part of a private managed wildlife conservation sanctuary. This will be accomplished in stages & may require the planting of field crops to initially control invasive species. Once the native plants are established, we plan to maintain a private sanctuary with a habitat that will increase the number of species of insects, caterpillars, butterflies, birds, amphibians, mammals, etc.
After 36 years in the fruit business, we are ready to have the time to pursue challenges and interests we’ve simply not had time to explore with the responsibilities and time required to run our own business. We have enjoyed meeting generations of families who have made our business part of their family traditions, and we have made many friends along the way. Thank you all for your support of our family business for the past 75 years.
