Wilton, CT Architectural and Fine Arts Photographer, Pam Rouleau, has been awarded six Honorable Mention Awards in the 2008 International Photography Awards Competition’s Professional Category.
The International Photography Award’s mission is to salute the achievements of the world’s finest photographers, to discover new and emerging talent, and to promote the appreciation of photography. Since 2003 IPA has had the privilege and opportunity to acknowledge and recognize contemporary photographer’s accomplishments in this specialized art form. The 2008 International Photography Awards received nearly 23,000 submissions from 124 countries across the globe. Of those submissions, all six of Rouleau’s entries were recognized. Five of the images were categorized in the “Architecture” category and one in the “Nature” category. The five architecture images are as follows: “JFK (John F. Kennedy) Library”; “Westminster Gallery” (receiving two awards, one in the “Architecture” category and one in the “Historical” category); “WHS Gymnasium”; and “SWVG (South Wilton Veterinary Group) Reception”. In the “Nature” Category: “ "Water Walkway”, Lisbon, Portugal.
Rouleau, who is a graduate of The Art Institute of Boston, has also completed courses in architectural theory and design at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and Boston Architectural Center. She stays current with the latest photographic trends through workshops at the Maine Photographic (and Media) Workshops in Rockport, ME, and numerous workshops in Connecticut and Massachusetts and is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and various artists’ organizations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Rouleau who has also received awards for past photography work in Commercial and Fine Arts photography has had work displayed in group exhibitions and solo shows.
