2017 - Welcome to our website

The Rotary Club of Albany Creek welcomes visitors and new members.

Our meetings are held on Tuesday evenings 6pm for 6.30pm at the Albany Creek Tavern, 730 Albany Creek Road, Albany Creek.

(see map on meetings page).

We are a vibrant Club with more than 30 members.

Christmas in the Creek - Albany Creek Community Centre, Ernie Street, Albany Creek - 6pm (doors open at 5.40pm) Saturday 2nd December 2017

This year we are holding Christmas in the Creek in the Community Centre as the event has been rained out many times.  It is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday evening with the community.   Albany Creek Lions and Apex help us by supplying a sausage sizzle and Santa. There are many other activities for the children including Face Painting.  The music is great and a good time is guaranteed.  We have great raffles prizes to be won.

RYDA 2017 - Rotary Youth Driver Awareness

Our next program for high school students will be in August 2017 at Bracken Ridge TAFE.

The Program is directed towards our young people about road safety as they approach the period in their life when they start driving a car and ride as a passenger in a car driven by one of their peers.  (See more information on the next page (About Us).

Our book sale was held on Friday 21 (4.30pm - 8pm), Saturday 22 (9am - 4pm) and Sunday 23 (9am - 12 noon) July 2017 at Albany Creek State School Hall,  695 Albany Creek Road, Albany Creek.  There was thousands of quality books for all ages, fiction, non fiction, large print, magazines and children's books for $2.00 and less.

Changeover Night 2017

We had a very successful Changeover Night on the 4th July 2017.  Congratulations to President Trevor Dawes and his new Board and we wish them a very successful 2017/2018.

We have many projects one of which is the Helping Hands project where we buy kits of prosthesis hands, make them up then deliver them to Cambodia.  We assembled 10 kits at our meeting in April 2016.

We also have annual projects where we raise money for various causes.

Our Book Sale is held yearly. It is a wonderful community event and it is successful on many levels - there are wonderful books for sale at great prices and we raise good money for our projects.

We hold a Chocolate Wheel at the Albany Creek Shopping Centre on special occasions with the money raised again going to our projects.  We enjoy great fellowship and the community sees their Rotary Club at work.
