About Our Club

Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based and are sponsored by a local Rotary Club. This makes them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary. As one of Rotarys most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 7,000 clubs in about 163 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon. How does it work?
All Rotaract clubs focus on bettering their local and global communities. Humanitarian projects are set in place to raise funds and awareness for their local region as well as overseas. All Rotaract clubs also focus on professional development and encompass a social aspect.
Rotaract at DC and UOIT is sponsored by the co-partnership of Rotary Club of Oshawa Parkwood & The Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise . This year we are supporting 'End Polio Now', Northern First Nations with a Hockey Drive, Cancer Society of Canada,  Tree planting, and attending several conferences including the District 7070 Conference this past November, Rotaract Conference in May 2018, and Rotary Interantional Convention in June 2018! Our club currently meets bi-weekly on Wednesdays 6:45-7:45 in ERC1092 at UOIT.
