A previously unknown rose virus RoPV (rose partitivirus) was discovered
in Canada in the cultivars Magic Meidiland and Phyllis Bide. The scientists
also tested Antique 89, Carefree Spirit, Chateau, Flamingo Kolorscape,
Goldener Olymp, Lydia, and Pink Flamingo, but they did did not detect
the virus in them.
Unfortunately, the published scientific article did not describe what the
visible symptoms are nor did it attempt to determine how it is spread.
