Thank you for visiting my website. I would like to take this opportunity to give you some information about myself and my practice. I am a clinical psychologist, licensed in New Jersey since 1986.
My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic. I work with patients ranging in age from adolescent to adult, and with individuals and couples. I see people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship problems, recovery from childhood abuse, stress, midlife issues, family problems, women's issues, and career transitions. I am particularly interested in creative artists, writers and musicians, and work with them on career enhancement and productivity improvement. I work with relationship issues in both individual and couples treatment.
My treatment approach is oriented towards the needs and goals of the individual or couple. My approach is primarily psychodynamic and insight-oriented, and can be either short-term or long-term, depending on the goals which are presented. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, one which is non-intrusive and accerpting, and provies a safe environment for self-exploration and change. As well, I sometimes use cognitive techniques, EMDR, and relaxation techniques to accomplish the goals you want to achieve.
I have maintained a private practice in New Jersey since 1986. I am also a faculty member and supervisor at the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis of New Jersey, and am Associate Director of the New Jersey Couples Therapy Training Program. I have been on the Editorial Board of the New Jersey Psychologist, the journal of the New Jersey Psychological Association, and I have served on the ethics committee of NJPA.
