Covid Reopening Plan
Since July, the Rosebud School District has been working on plans to reopen our schools for the 2020-2021 school year. We understand our plans are subject to change due to current circumstances and situations that we must adapt to. Our goal is to provide enough information to allow parents/guardians to make the choice that they feel is in the best interest of their child(ren).
As of right now, the State of Montana is in Phase 2. Based on information provided to us from local health officials, regional superintendents, and educational leaders across the state, we anticipate that Montana will remain in Phase 2 until we transition to Phase 3. Thus, for planning purposes, we do not see our plan becoming more restrictive than what is being presented herein.

Public Announcement of Positive Covid-19 Test
On October 26, 2020, the Rosebud School District was notified that a person had tested positive for Covid-19. The positive test was confirmed on October 26, 2020. According to the Rosebud County Health Department, the District’s, staff and students were not in contact with the person during the period of possible exposure. However, the person last worked/learned in person-to-person contact with fellow students/staff at Rosebud School on October 20, 2020, nine days prior to the person’s diagnosis. Since October 20, 2020, the person has not been at the school.
If any staff or students are at risk of exposure, the Rosebud County Health Department will be in contact with that person to determine a safe and appropriate course of action. It is still recommended that any person who feels sick or ill, seek out their medical provider for specific instructions. The school district is in contact with the health department and reviewing the center for disease control guidance to complete cleaning the school and other related facilities. The other steps taken by the school district include following the governor’s proclamation. Contact the superintendent for details about these measures. School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it comes available.
This information is provided on behalf of the Board of Trustees of Rosebud Public School.

I'm Diane Prongua from Hot Springs, MT. I am the new Principal/ Superintendent for Rosebud School. I was raised in Ronan with three siblings: one brother and two sisters. My husband and I raised four children: Amanda, Jessica, Tiffany, and Zachary. Of course we can't forget my little maltese/yorkie, Magnum!!! I've been a teacher for 40+ years in Hot Springs, Paradise, Babb, Poplar, Bigfork, and Charlo, MT, plus ID and OR.
In my free time I love to read, sing, and dance. A couple of fun facts about me are... I've sung the national anthem at rodeos and put together kiddie parades. I look forward to getting to know everyone in our little Rosebud School!!!
