About Me

I am a fifth year Ph.D. student in Computer Science. I was granted Candidacy status in Summer 2007. My advisor is Dr. Ronald D. Dutton. I am currently working on my dissertation on parameterized algorithms for alliances and the problem of partitioning series parallel graphs into alliances with applications to scheduling problems.

Research Interests

  • Graph theory: graph algorithms, graph partitioning and other graph properties.
  • Applications of graph theory to: mining social networks, scheduling problems, network security and communications, bioinformatics.
  • Parameterized complexity and FPT-algorithms for graph theoretical problems and other computationally hard problems.
  • Parallel graph algorithms.
  • Machine learning methods for bioinformatics
