Please check your child's planner each night for specific homework assignments. Initial at the bottom of each page every night. Please review your child's homework for neatness and accuracy.

 *We will spend approximately 2 weeks on these skills. 
2nd Grade: Module 1-Sums and Differences to 100
Please have your child make flash cards of addition and subtraction facts to 20 and practice them daily.  Log into the Zearn site for additional math practice once new class code is posted for this year and I have distributed log in information.


3rd Grade: Module 1-Properties of Multiplication and Division, Solving Problems with Units of 2-5, and 10.  Log into Zearn for daily additional practice and reinforcement of lessons as part of nightly homework once new class code is posted for this year and I have distributed log in information

Math homework for 2nd and 3rd grade is in a spiral bound book and will travel from school to home daily.  The book needs to be returned everyday!

Social Studies:
This week we will begin discussing and learning about Rules and Laws.

AR tests will be taken at school.  

ComputerWise Kids can be accessed at home for keyboard practice.  Information will be sent home with specific instructions to access this program.  Keyboarding is an important skill for all students.  Please encourage your child to practice at home. Encourage your child to practice skills on www.typing.com in addition to typing tutor.

ZEARN is a supplemental math program that is closely aligned to the Eureka math program.  I will send home your child's log in information at Back to School Night. Here are the class codes to get started after you receive the log in information:

Once we begin using Scholastic News, students can access the Scholastic News website to read the edition at home that we will read in class by using the following website:

Log in as a student.
Enter class password: drinkflag5
Click on "All Issues"
Find the issue we are reading.

Homework: Independent reading is required for 15-20 minutes each night. Homework that involves reading counts toward the minutes.

Please have your child practice keyboarding on Typing Tutor every week, at least 2 lessons a week.

Weekly Enrichment Schedule:
Square dance is every other week.  On the weeks we dance, kids will skip PE.
