Ronnie Layden is a 15th generation Santa Fean. Having grown up in the shadow of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, in the beautiful world-renowned art community of Santa Fe, Ronnie was inspired to draw and create from an early age.

Ronnie studied architecture at University of New Mexico, then went on to earn associate's degrees in computer-aided drafting and commercial art. After finishing his education, Ronnie worked closely with the innovative architect, John McHugh, who designed the Santa Fe Opera. During his career as an architectural designer, Ronnie had the opportunity to design homes for several celebrities in Santa Fe, and Palm Springs. Finally, Ronnie decided it was time to follow his true calling as an artist.

Ronnie began his worldwide pursuit for inspiration in such places as Africa, Japan, New Zealand and across Europe. Photographing and painting, he began building a profound body of work. Upon returning to Santa Fe in 2003, Ronnie opened and has maintained a successful gallery and art studio. His gallery/studio is located on Santa Fe's famous Canyon Road. His work has been showing and selling for seven consecutive years at the Albuquerque Museum

He has shown twice at the Santa Fe ArtFeast and, for the last two years, at "A Russian Night in Taos" at the Taos Art Museum at the Fechin House. His work can also be found in many private collections around the world.
