GHA liveries

The GHA Group, for various reasons, had a wide variety of liveries as is demonstrated below. By clicking on the photographs they will open up in a larger form.  The name given to the liveries is my own and these are the ones I use in my fleetlists.

Cheshire Connect

Flintshire Connections and Lynx

Previously vehicles operating Flintshire County Council tendered services were required to carry this livery but this is no longer applicable. There was a variant of the livery 'Lynx' which appeared to apply to vehicles operating service with links outside the County.

Llangollen Express

Introduced originally for GHA Coaches and Bryn Melyn vehicles used on teh 5 Llangollen - Wrexham. Since April 2015 these vehicles work this service and the 5C Wrexham to Cefn Mawr

Dee Bee

Introduced in collaboration with Cheshire West and Chester Council for use on the Dee Bee services around the Chester area.

X50 – X52

Used by vehicles operating the Rhyl to Wrexham route. Interestingly two low floor double deckers have also received this livery but only occasionally work the service.

Shuttle +

The four Optare Versas carrying this livery are owned by Flintshire County Council and operate solely (strictly enforced) the SP1 / SP2 service Mold to Ellesmere Port via the Deeside Industrial Estate

Into the Port

There are two variants of this livery orange and green and it is used for vehicles operating the Ellesmere Port local services 6 and 7.

Line 9

This livery was introduced for the tendered Line 9 service which originally operated from Mold to the Countess of Chester Hospital. The route varied with time and now has only an allocation of 2 vehicles. Three of the original vehicles have been painted out of this livery to date.

GHA Gold service

Two vehicles were originally given this livery for use on the 40/41 Wrexham to Wrexham Industrial Estate service. One of these vehicles is currently not in service receiving substantial repairs following a RTC (BA05GHA).

Denbighshire Flexi

Originally there were two vehicles involved in the provision of the Ruthin Flexi service which carried this livery. The service was reduced and one of the Solos (DK09ENW) was give a different livery (Cheshire Connect).

Two vehicles operating from Ruthin were given a variant of the old GHA low floor livery which has different colours but to the same pattern.

Pontcysyllte Heritage

Originally two of the Solos operating in the Ceiriog Valley and passing through the World Heritage Site involving the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct were given this livery – but due to cuts in the service only one vehicle now carries the livery.

Originally 2 VDL / Centros were given the livery for the Wrexham to Whitchurch route but one of these (BA56GHA) was destroyed by fire.

Plain single colour

White

A number of vehicles which have joined the fleet have remained in their (dealer) white livery. One such vehicle (VT59VLT) has remained without vinyl branding since being acquired new in 2009. Other vehicles in plain white include three 'lift' minibuses obtained for contracts in the Winsford area, a number of vehilces  transferred from Shropshire Bus and Coach including two Volvo / Caetano Lavante, two Optare Excel and three minibuses.

Silver

One Council owned Solo (YJ09EZH) and  are now plain silver together with one coach (GA08GHA)

Red

Two Volvo B10B / Wright Renowns carry this livery as received from their previous operator Go North East  and one Volvo / Plaxton President double decker is still in the red of its previosu owner Metroline.

Some of these vehicles are plain yellow and others have various lettered brandings. There are four examples which have prominent Dobsons branding. The Bryn Melyn branding (5 vehicles) has Safe child transport and an invitation to hire the vehicle.
