A member of the civic has sent in proposed by-law changes. These changes were read by our President Bruce Edwards at the September 8th Membership meeting. The changes were scheduled to be discussed and voted on individually at our October 13th membership meeting, however, all business was suspended for the October meeting for our Meet the Candidates night. Therefore, they will be read and voted on individually at the November meeting.
A copy of the proposed changes are posted below for review by our membership.
Please review and join us in November to adopt, adopt with changes or reject these suggestions. Thank you.

We've been attending Islandia meetings, forming a coalition with Islandia residents, Hauppauge HOA, Medford residents and other towns all across Suffolk County.
We've hired a team of attorney's and are helping to raise funds to pay for the lawsuit we are filing against the Village of Islandia as the coalition called Concerned Citizens of Suffolk County.
Please visit the go fund me page at www.gofundme.com/nocasino
The coalition has also started their own website and FB page to keep everyone updated on the actions we've taken thus far.

The press releases, press conferences and rallies will be listed on those two sites.
We have not given up and we will continue to fight the casino. We will continue to spread the word that home values will be lowered by at least 10% if it does come to Islandia. All homes within a ten-mile radius are affected.
Please help us fight this by volunteering to go to a rally or press conference or by donating to the go fund me site. Thank you!
Our President, Bruce Edwards and Vice President, Eileen Panico were invited to attend this memorial hosted by Commissioner Tim Sini and County Executive Steve Bellone along with other civic leaders and clergy. The Ronkonkoma Civic maintains a positive relationship and we fully support our SCPD officers. Our hearts go out to the families of the fallen officers in Baton Rouge and Detroit.
Hauppauge Windwatch HOA along with Ronkonkoma Civic hosted an informational meeting on July 11 2016 at the Lakeland Firehouse with regard to the proposed Islandia Casino.
A packed room with Guest Speaker Robert Steele, author of The Curse, former Congressman, CIA and Governor in Connecticut spoke about the devastating effects the casino's had on their community and it's surrounding areas.
The RCA will be organizing an information campaign on how to stop this from happening to our community.
