In a few words...

To my perpetual bewilderment, I am an Assistant Professor, in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Jodhpur, an alumnus of the Diverse Intelligences Summer Institute (DISI), and part of the digital-curator team for the Society of Neuroscience of Creativity. It has been a while that I have been trying to understand and model how we do what we do and why we do what we do, towards the design of an embodied, social (~empathetic) "thinking machine". I am now all the more curious about the origin, evolution and development of fundamental cognitive abilities (e.g. language acquisition, aesthetic-sense, time-space continuum, spontaneous thought, contemplation) across all living species... Of late I have been wondering about the evolutionary origins of all forms of art, artistic behavior, creativity, imagination and sense of aesthetics.... I would love to be part of transdisciplinary science-writing/research initiatives/projects in any/all of these areas...
