Welcome!

This site displays some of my current and past research work on Roman history. I have worked especially on the social, economic and legal history of the Roman Republic; my current interests are the relations between economic activity and cultural integration and the economic and social aspects of Roman citizenship. I have worked as postdoctoral fellow at the Universities of Manchester and Nottingham, and as teaching fellow at the Universities of Leicester, Reading, Ghent and Groningen.
