I am the assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana - Laibach. I received a PhD in quantitative economic history from Utrecht University in 2016 with the dissertation title Institutions, Growth and Long-Run Development Paths.

Prior to assistant professorship, I completed the post-doctoral research at the Faculty of Economics (University of Ljubljana). In 2016, I completed the PhD in quantitative economic history under the supervision of prof. dr. Jan Luiten van Zanden, and was a research assistant at the Department of Economic and Social History at Utrecht University.

My research interests include new institutional economics, economic growth and development, applied econometrics, and economic history. The scholarly output is availible at ORCID, Google Scholar, SSRN, ResearchGate, Harvard Dataverse and Academia.
