Roger Parry CBE is Chairman of several media/technology companies including:Oxford Metrics (software); YouGov (data analytics) and  MSQ Partners (marketing communications).    His is one of the founders of Chrysalis Vision and Internet Indirect

He was Chairman of Shakespeare’s Globe Trust for 8 years and was Chairman of publisher Future plc; newspaper group Johnston Press plc and mobile content provider Mobile Streams

He was Executive Chairman and CEO of the international division of Clear Channel Communications Inc. from 1998 to 2006 and before that CEO of More Group plc from 1995 to 1998.  He was Chairman of Johnston Press plc (then the UK's largest local newspaper owner) from 2001 to 2009. He has been a director of a number of media and advertising companies including: Aegis, iTouch, Jazz fm, London Radio and WCRS. He was a founder director then Deputy Chairman of Clear Media in China ( 1999 to 2006).  He has worked with private equity firms including Apax, Permira and Terra Firma. In 2009 he was appointed as Chairman of the Local Media Association and was commissioned by the Conservative Party to write a report on the future of local media in the UK.

He began his career working for Saatchi & Saatchi, then was a journalist for the BBC, LBC and ITV and after that a consultant with McKinsey and Company.

In 2006 he wrote the FT article "A 'Box' that will transform the media" which led to his book The Ascent of Media.

He was educated at the universities of Oxford (Jesus College) M Litt. and Bristol BSc.  He is the author of six books and is a Visiting Fellow of Oxford University. In 2014 he was awarded a CBE for services to media.  He is married with one son and lives in London and Hampshire.
