Welcome Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade students!
Third and Fourth Grade: Today, we will visiting Minecraft Hour of Code!
Fifth Grade: Today, we will continue working on our comics again on the Pixton website!
Grades 3 and 4
You will be visiting the Code.org website to code with Star Wars character, BB-8.
Go to the website by copying and pasting this address into your browser:
https://code.org/starwars
First, scroll down and watch the Coding with Steph Curry inspirational video.
After the video plays, go back to the top of the page and click "Get Started" under "Blocks"
Watch the introduction video (Build Your Own Star Wars Game).
Then follow the guidelines to move blocks and add commands your code.
Have fun!
Grade 5
Now that we have completed some fun activities related to graphic novels and the comic project that we were working on in February and March; we will be returning to the Pixton website to create comics!
Since your planning packets are at school; if you remember what you planned, you can continue to work on the comic that you started by making a few notes for yourself. If you do not remember what you planned; you may start a new comic.
Please remember that working on this project is optional. Have some fun with this and I look forward to seeing what you create!
Please also do not feel rushed to complete work today. I will be allowing access to Pixton for the next few weeks. Please feel free to create many more new comics in the weeks ahead.
You will need your user name. Please email me before or during class time today, or any time after today during my office hours. In your email, please let me know the name of your classroom teacher and I will send you your user name. Please also find your class login link below.
