I've been a ham radio operator since 1991 and hold an Amateur Extra license.

N9LTV is my call sign.

Here's my station. Left to right from the top:

Hallicrafters S-38 Receiver

Heathkit SW-717 Receiver

Small Wonder Labs PSK-20

Icom IC-228H 2-meter rig

Elecraft K-1 and OHR wattmeter

Transel wattmeter - some MFJ items-an antenna tuner and a CW filter

IBM 760ED Thinkpad computer

Kenwood TS-570D HF rig

Bencher paddle

Antennas include a six-band Butternut Vertical and about four dipoles cut to various bands.  Also a short indoor longwire for the shortwave receivers.

I enjoy the K-1 QRP (low power) rig the most.  In addition to CW, I like to operate PSK-31 and SSTV.  Also a smattering of SSB at times.

My awards include DXCC ( for contacting 100 countries, my total is almost 200), WAS (Worked All States), and WAC (Worked All Continents).  I also have a "1,000 Miles per Watt" certificate and the ARRL's Code Proficiency award.
