2017 Salida

17th Annual Salida Braid-In
Saturday, July 22 9:00 am – Monday, July 24, 4:30 pm 2017

Reservations are open for the 17th Annual Salida Braid-In! The Salida Braid-In is an opportunity for braiders of all
levels of experience to braid, share ideas, exchange wool, renew and make new acquaintances, all while making
progress on a current project. Braiders come from across the US for 3 glorious days of braiding.

There are many hiking, rafting, and fishing options for the non-braiders in your family to pursue while you enjoy
the camaraderie of braiders from far and wide.

If you need a break, you can enjoy a stroll along the Arkansas River while watching kayakers in the river rapids, or
enjoy shopping in the antique and art galleries of historic Salida.

The Braid-In takes place in the Masonic Hall, 140 West 3rd St., Salida, CO 81201. Salida is a scenic 3-hour-drive from Denver via US Hwy 285 S or I25 S to Pueblo and US 50 W.  The Masonic Hall is located in the culinary, artistic, recreational, historic and cultural heart of Salida, 1 block from the historic main street and 3 blocks from the Arkansas River.

Braid-In Begins: Saturday morning, July 22, doors will open at 9 am. Braiding continues daily into the late evening if you wish on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Braid-In Ends: Monday afternoon, July 24. We clear out our braiding by 4:30 pm. Braiders often enjoy a farewell dinner together in a local restaurant on Monday evening.
