Water Main Replacement
After delays occasioned by an unexpected subsurface problem encountered between Harrison St. and N. Williamsburg Blvd. Redevelopment Projects
Two separate projects are planned to beautify and improve Williamsburg Blvd. in the Rock Spring Civic Assoc. area. Together the projects will redevelop several medians, curbs, gutters, and intersections along Williamsburg Blvd between Kensington and Glebe Rd. Both projects have been delayed by external events. The section between Frederick and Harrison will follow upon completion of the above water main project in that same area and will be completed in the summer of 2016. However, actual work will be delayed by the approaching winter season and not get underway until spring, 2016. For further backgrounds see Williamsburg Blvd. in the Community Projects section.
Redevelopment of the Williamsburg/Kensington intersection is also included among the Williamsburg projects. Work on the intersection began in October and is expected to take approximately one month. For more information about it please see summary in the documents section.
