Mission Statement

The Rockland Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is a group of parents committed to providing information and support to parents and guardians of children with disabilities.


 Our purpose is to:

·         Establish better understanding and communication between parents and school officials

·         Provide a supportive group of parents who understand the challenges of having children with special needs

·         Provide support for special education to meet the needs of all students with disabilities

·         Advise school district officials on matters that pertain to education, health, and safety of students with special needs

·         Provide information needed for parents to successfully participate in the special education process

·         Provide informational meetings and workshops on a variety of related subject matter
***Massachusetts’s Special Education law mandates every school district to have a Special Education Advisory Committee or Parent Advisory Council
