Our Purpose
The purpose of the Rockland County School Boards Association (RCSBA) is to improve the services rendered by the school districts of Rockland County through the cooperative effort of the members of Rockland's constituent school boards.
The Purpose is to be advanced by:
  • discussion of common problems,
  • research activities resulting in advisory recommendations,
  • coordination of legislative activities with NYSSBA,
  • coordination of training seminars for school trustees,
  • and fostering a greater civic and school consciousness among the citizens of the school districts of Rockland County.
This Association subscribes to the aims and objectives of the NYS School Boards Association and may send delegates to the organization's meetings and conferences when requested.

Jackson, NYS Certified School Counselor and DASA Trainer will facilitate a presentation on the following topics:Overview of new mandates related to bullying and harassment in schools, also known as DASA, highlight recently proposed state legislation against cyber bullying, present findings from the New York Cyber Bully Census (June 2012) and briefly describe New Jersey’s ABR (anti-bullying) statutes.Please join us on February 24th at 7:30 in Building #10 at the Boces main campus on Parrott Rd. in West Nyack.

  • PURSUING RESPONSIBLE REFORMS IN A COMMON CORE WORLD Dr. Ken Mitchell led a group of Rockland County school administrators, school board members and parents through the complex world of the Common Core.
